GEMS was founded in 1983, in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona), by Tomás and Antonio. As a result of the effort and good work, in 1989 GEMS decision to relocate its manufacturing headquarters to Terrassa (Barcelona), where it will have new and improved facilities that will allow it to develop its activity in a more agile way and optimize its processes. The new GEMS factory (current location of the facilities) will have 2,000 m2 to continue with the same tradition in the manufacture of all its products, in a fully automated way. The company will also have more production capacity, which will allow it to continue to be successful. At the beginning of the 1990s, GEMS will expand its horizons and will start its activities in export. GEMS’ proposals will be presented at the main exporting companies. Furniture Fairs European. The Company will thus begin to make itself known in cities such as Valencia, Cologne, Milan, Paris and London. Today, GEMS BARCELONA has established itself as one of the national brands of reference in the sector and counts on the collaboration of renowned designers and architects, with whom he develops his collections of sofas, armchairs, chaise longues, chairs and headrests, for the absolute comfort and well-being of the customer.
